Happy Sad Penguin Day

I found another grumpy Penguin book blurb! Or, rather,‏ @vijaykhurana found it and posted it to Twitter, writing:

Take me back to when books cost 85p and the publisher would warn you on the back cover that it might be terrible.

Which, while of similar vintage, is superior in cumulative gloominess to the copy of Howards End I mentioned in an earlier post:




...which at least offers up a little hope for a rewarding, if arduous, reading experience.
