I've read the Mitchell translation so often it's hard for me to see it any other way. I didn't know Paterson had done a Rilke translation -- that's a surprise! I have mixed feelings about his original poems, but I think he has a lot of technical skill as a poet, so I can see that working well in translation. I'd need to read more though!
