radiant fracture

I like Who Was Changed and have re-read it for the deeply uncomfortable admixture of quirky country childhood novel and nightmarish plague of violent insanity novel. I have The Juniper Tree shelved next door, but remember it less well -- that is, the plot is fairly clear, but not how I felt about it. The Vet's Daughter is a pretty remarkable next read, I would say, if you'd like to revisit.
