Water rabbit

That's really great. It reminds me of Patricia McKillip's Something Rich and Strange (1994), whose signal animal is the sea hare.

Oo, I don't know it, but it sounds good.

It's one of my favorites of her novels. For years it was unavailable except as the original small hardcover with the full-color art by Brian Froud that served as prompts for the story—and which I do recommend finding if you can, because it's neat to see the connections drawn out into the words and also it's very nice art—but it was included in 2016 in her collection Dreams from Distant Shores, which loses you the art but is much more accessible overall. It will then become obvious how appallingly formative McKillip was on my own writing, but she's worth it. She died this past year and I'm still mad.

I love it. It looks fierce. Perhaps navigating the Rift.

I got a frame for mine today:

Right??? I went into a framing store and was like. Do you have square frames? She brought out a handful and I saw that one and it was yes yes yes.

It's a good textbook. I would go so far as to suggest that it was the published textbook that had the most influence on my life.

Only a Beginning is worth checking out too. :) The author lives in your city and has a bookshop there. There's a deeply terrible picture of me in there somewhere, and a 'zine layout that I'm now quite embarrassed by.
