The North American flu vaccine is based on what happened in the southern hemisphere last summer, so it's a best guess and never a 100% match for what happens. This year it's not a very good match, but it does provide some protection if you get hit. So thank your lucky stars that you're not suffering more! And I hope you feel better soon.
